Dr Chikondi Mwendera

Post-Doctoral Research in Medecine Associate

With the current global focus on knowledge translation, I aspire to be a champion for the promotion of health research in policy development by conducting health policy and systems research, systematic and rapid reviews.

I am currently working as a Post-Doctoral Research in Medecine Associate (Policy Analyst) under a programme called Partnership for Increasing the Impact of Vector Control (PIIVeC). My responsibilities entail: translating research outputs into policies and practices to improve the health and wellbeing of the poorest sectors of society; conducting applied health policy and systems research that advances knowledge on how to improve the impact of vector control in Africa; and support other PIIVeC partners to deliver research and disseminate research that addresses national and global priorities. This work is focused in three African countries of Cameroon, Burkina Faso, and Malawi.
