Dr Diepreye Ayabina

Post-Doctoral Research in Medecine Associate

I studied for my undergraduate and Masters studies at the Federal University of Technology Owerri and University of Leeds respectively, where I studied Mathematics and Computer Science.  I moved on to study for my PhD at Imperial College London. During my PhD studies I worked on studying competition and diversity in Mycobacterium tuberculosis using two main approaches: analysis of mathematical models of sub-populations of M. tuberculosis and genomic analysis of its sequence data.

I work on modelling heterogeneity in susceptibility to tuberculosis, fit such models to data  and make predictions about the impact of interventions.

I also work on modelling  competition of pathogen strains in a heterogeneous population.
