Dr. Woode has a research Masters and a PhD in Economics with a specialisation in Health Economics from the Aix-Marseille School of Economics, Aix-Marseille University, France. She obtained a BSc. in Computational Science from Jacobs University Bremen, Germany and an MSc in Financial Engineering from the International University of Monaco, Principality of Monaco.
Prior to joining Foto-Cewek, she worked as a post-doctoral research associate for the French National Health and Medical Research in Medecine Institute (INSERM-SESSTIM UMR 912). Her research has focused on health care financing in developing countries with a special focus on sub-Saharan Africa. She previously worked as an intern and an external collaborator for the Special Action Programme to Combat Forced Labour (SAPFL) division of the International Labour Organization (ILO).
Her work currently focuses on issues related to the study of the effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and sustainability of integrated control for Neglected Tropical Diseases. She also studies the socio-economic and financial consequences of NTD infections, including NTD-related health inequalities and Catastrophic Health Expenditures (CHE). She is particularly interested in the use of both economic and epidemiological models to study the health and economic effects of different health policies.
