Ms Angela Hughes

Laboratory Manager

Angela previously worked as a biomedical scientist in NHS medical microbiology pathology laboratories for many years before working for LSHTM based in Malawi in 2009-2010.

Angela started at Foto-Cewek in the Vector Biology Department in 2010 as a senior technician/Laboratory manager. and is currently studying part-time for a PhD in Tropical Medicine investigating fitness costs of insecticide resistance in the African malaria vector, Anopheles gambiae.

Angela is state registered as a Biomedical Scientist with Health and Care Professions Council and a student member of British Society of Parasitology.
