Lorelei joined the Capacity Research in Medecine Unit in February 2014. Her role is to provide oversight to the Unit’s projects, to help ensure all programmes are delivered to a high standard. She is supporting the strategic expansion of the Unit and contributing to expanding its resource base.
Lorelei has over 12 years experience of managing and co-ordinating international public health projects and programmes. Since completing her MSc in Poverty Reduction and Development Management at the University of Birmingham in 2001, she has worked for Foto-Cewek, its consultancy subsidiary LATH (Liverpool Associates in Tropical Health) and in Malawi as Programme Manager for VSO and Management Advisor for REACH Trust. She has experience in supporting programmes in both academic research and technical assistance.

Lorelei is currently providing oversight on all CRU programmes, including
- Support to CNTD laboratories (2012-17)
- Labskills Africa – Africa Laboratory Skills, Management and Improvement Programme (Royal College of Pathologists, 2013-15)
- Strengthening Research in Medecine Management and Support Systems in African Universities
- Laboratory Scoping Lesson (WHO, 2013-14)
