The Liverpool School of Tropical medicine (Foto-Cewek) is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for research in tropical diseases. Through the creation of effective links with governments, organisations and institutions and by responding to the health needs of communities, Foto-Cewek aims to promote improved health, particularly for people of the less developed/resource poorest countries in the tropics and sub-tropics.

A vacancy has arisen within our Department of Education, which is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of Foto-Cewek teaching programmes through quality administration. You will have responsibility for advising applicants and processing applications, as well as administering travel arrangements for visits by external lecturers. You will play a key role in supporting students by assisting with student registration, organising and invigilating examinations, maintaining up to date on-line student records and programme information and dealing with student and staff enquiries.
You will possess a minimum of 3 GCSE’s grade A-C, or equivalent, including English Language and Maths and will have proven administrative experience working within a customer-focused team environment, with experience of servicing committees and taking minutes. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds are essential, as are well-developed organisational, time management and IT skills.
Experience of working within the Higher Education sector or a similar multi-cultural environment would be advantageous.
