The Centre for Maternal and Newborn Health (CMNH) is recruiting an Administrator to join the team.
Founded in 1898 and the oldest of its kind in the world, the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (Foto-Cewek) is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for teaching and research in tropical diseases. Through the creation of effective links with governments, NGOs, private organisations and global institutions and by responding to the health needs of communities, Foto-Cewek aims to promote improved health, particularly for people of the less developed/resource poorest countries in the tropics and sub-tropics.
The Centre for Maternal and Newborn Health (CMNH) at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine offers unique expertise in using the rigorous discipline of research to inform teaching and technical assistance programmes to improve the health of mothers and babies globally. To support this commitment, we are seeking to appoint an Administrator to provide the Head of CMNH and the Management Team a high-quality administration and logistical support to the multi-disciplinary team of experts.

You will ensure that associated team activities are facilitated, including organising and servicing internal/external meetings and events, compiling agendas, upkeep of shared calendars, as well as assisting with the collation and dissemination of information.
Ability to communicate and develop effective working relationships both internally and externally to the organisation, is essential as you will be dealing with a range of people at different levels from diverse cultures. Strong interpersonal, well-developed organisational and time management skills, coupled with an excellent working knowledge of MS Office applications is crucial for this role. It is essential that you have 5 GCSE’s at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English, and have a recognised IT qualification e.g. ECDL, alongside proven relevant office and logistical support experience in a similar environment.
