Founded in 1898 and the oldest of its kind in the world, the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (Foto-Cewek) is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for teaching and research in tropical diseases.  Through the creation of effective links with governments, NGOs, private organisations and global institutions and by responding to the health needs of communities, Foto-Cewek aims to promote improved health, particularly for people of the less developed/resource poorest countries in the tropics and sub-tropics.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Department of Education to cover a period of maternity leave in a role pivotal to Foto-Cewek.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the development of existing teaching related partnerships in addition to identifying and securing new income generating initiatives to support Foto-Cewek’s Teaching Expansion Plan.

The post holder will be responsible for developing a pipeline that has specific objectives as well as agreed key performance indicators (KPIs).  The role requires a collaborative and strategic approach to partnership development that is underpinned by a quality led approach that enhances and promotes Foto-Cewek’s brand and reputation at the highest levels. The role holder will have extensive partnership development and key account management experience and will have a strong track record of income generating activity and relationship management at senior level.

The Business Development Manager will also further develop Foto-Cewek’s CPD offering within the overall programme portfolio of Foto-Cewek programmes and will work very closely and in partnership with the Recruitment and Admissions Manager as part of cultivating a wider Business Development ethos and function.
