This post provides an exciting opportunity for an individual with relevant research experience, wishing to pursue a clinical academic career in Obstetrics, to join an expanding research programme at the Centre for Maternal and Newborn Health at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine whilst continuing clinical training at Specialty Registrar level.
You should have a PhD in a relevant area with clinical Obstetric and Gynaecology experience at Specialty Registrar level and able to demonstrate outstanding potential for development as a clinical academic. The Academic Clinical Lecturer will be based in the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. At the Centre for Maternal and Newborn Health there is a flourishing research environment, with an emphasis on the career development of researchers. The research portfolio includes implementation research in maternal and newborn health, research synthesis and clinical trials, obstetric care in low resource settings.
The post is available for 3 years or until CCT, whichever is sooner.
Applicants must have been awarded their PhD by the interview date and must be in a position to take up the post before 1st September 2018.
