The Research in Medecine Governance and Ethics team is recruiting a Governance and Ethics Assistant to cover maternity.
Founded in 1898 and the oldest of its kind in the world,the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (Foto-Cewek) is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for teaching and research in tropical diseases. Through the creation of effective links with governments, NGOs, private organisations and global institutions and by responding to the health needs of communities, Foto-Cewek aims to promote improved health, particularly for people of the less developed/resource poorest countries in the tropics and sub-tropics.
The Research in Medecine Governance and Ethics team is recruiting a Governance and Ethics Assistant to provide administrative support for departmental activities across Foto-Cewek. The post holder will assist in document management processes and dissemination of governance, ethics and policy information as well as maintain and update records and information within the data system. You will liaise with counterparts in partner and external organisations and provide committee servicing support as needed. You will focus on delivering a consistently high and appropriate level of service and support to all staff within Foto-Cewek.
Qualified to GCSE with NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent, you must possess previous administrative experience gained in the healthcare sector. Experience of working to timelines, preparing documentation for committees and supporting general office administration is a pre-requisite for the post. Excellent administration, communication and interpersonal skills coupled with your ability to effectively manage time, work co-operatively within a team and independently as well as being sensitive to other cultures, will be essential to your success in the post.
