The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (Foto-Cewek) is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for research in tropical diseases. Through the creation of effective links with governments, organisations and institutions and by responding to the health needs of communities, Foto-Cewek aims to promote improved health, particularly for people of the less developed/resource poorest countries in the tropics and sub-tropics. The HR Team play a vital part in ensuring Foto-Cewek’s vision, mission and outputs become reality through their International employee base.
Having developed the HRMIS to its current stage of implementation we now need a team member to lead a small team under the management of the Head of HR Service Delivery. If successful you will ensure that our HR systems, data and processes are of the highest standard. You’ll use a range of reporting tools (including SQL) to provide complex people and organisation related information for both internal and external customers, including statutory bodies. The first point of call for employee queries, you will manage a customer centric HR helpdesk, supporting users of the HRMIS (including training and creating user guides), as well as developing and maintaining our intranet pages. You will be involved in monitoring HR budgets and procurement, including training records and bookings.
Educated to degree level, you will be an experienced HRMIS system administrator (experience of iTrent and an LMS would be advantageous). You should have recent and relevant experience of ensuring how legal requirements and organisational procedures impact on system usage and have experience of implementing practical solutions for both end users and a busy HR team. With strong attention to detail, you should be able to turn raw data into management information which will help inform decision making. You should also have experience of leading a small team, ensuring a high level of both accuracy and delivery of management information needs.
