The LITE team is seeking a LITE Auxiliary to join the team.
The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (Foto-Cewek) is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for research in tropical diseases. Through the creation of effective links with governments, organisations and institutions and by responding to the health needs of communities, Foto-Cewek aims to promote improved health, particularly for people of the less developed/resource poorest countries in the tropics and sub-tropics.
The LITE Auxiliary post holder will ensure routine tasks are completed in readiness for of technician testing and to assist in the smooth running of rearing and process flows ensuring the smooth running of the facility within the team. This is a part time post whereby the post holder will carry out day-to-day logistical functions to the highest standard in accordance to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). You will be responsible for cleaning of all equipment associated with rearing of mosquitoes and insecticide testing as well as help in the preparation of routine solutions and management of waste within the facility.
The successful candidate must be GCSE qualified (or equivalent) including Maths and English Language with an eye for detail and experience of working to timelines. You must be able to manage your workload and use your own initiative when necessary.
