The Centre for Maternal and Newborn Health (CMNH) at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in Togo.

Full Time Fixed Term until 31st December 2018

Based - Lomé, Togo (with travel to project locations as required)

The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (Foto-Cewek) is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for research in tropical diseases.  

Through the creation of effective links with governments, organisations and institutions and by responding to the health needs of communities, Foto-Cewek aims to promote improved health, particularly for people of the less developed/resource poorest countries in the tropics and sub-tropics.

The Centre for Maternal and Newborn Health (CMNH) at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine offers unique expertise in using the rigorous discipline of research to inform teaching and technical assistance programmes to improve the health of mothers and babies globally. 

The Global Fund is funding the CMNH project, "Quality improvement of integrated HIV, TB and Malaria services in Antenatal and Postnatal Care facilities inTogo". The project aims to produce sustainable measurable improvements in the availability and quality of HIV, TB and malaria services integrated in ANC andPNC in selected health facilities.

Reporting to the Senior Technical Officer you will support the work of the team by providing data collection, tracking, cleaning and analysis.  In addition, you will co-ordinate the data management from the relevant partners across multiple sites. This will include scheduling and undertaking field visits to perform quality checks on data and provide information on reporting.

Along with a Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline related to the role, it is essential that you have proven experience of working on project data and have experience of research administration, as you will be managing the research databases. You will need to demonstrate knowledge of quantitative datamanagement and analysis programs, using MS Excel, SPSS or equivalent

As this is a demanding role, you must have exceptional organisational skills and have a confident enthusiastic approach, with a willingness to get involved with all aspects of the project.  This is an exciting time to join CMNH as you will make a significant contribution to its operational and strategic development by working in partnership with diverse research teams.
