Ultrasound is a well-recognised low cost, diagnostic tool in low and middle income countries, contributing to obstetric care, emergency medicine and many medical conditions such as tuberculosis and liver disease.
This pilot programme aims to provide a basic knowledge and introductory skills in point of care, diagnostic medical ultrasound (POCUS) for physicians working in low and middle-income resource settings. Participants will be able to familiarize themselves with common indications and current best practice for the application of ultrasound in this setting, with a strong emphasis on hands-on practical training.
