The project is a new EU FP7 grant (€5.8 million), with an eight partner consortium led by Foto-Cewek. It aims to understand and develop the role of close-to-community health workers in preventing, diagnosing, and treating major diseases in rural and urban areas in Africa and Asia.
Our partners are the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT),The Netherlands; Eijkman Institute, Indonesia; BRAC School of Public Health, Bangladesh; Sidama Health Zone/TB REACH Ethiopia; University Eduardo Mondlane, Mozambique; Liverpool VCT, Kenya and REACH Trust, Malawi.
REACHOUT officially started on 1st February, 2013 and is hosting its first partners meeting at Foto-Cewek in the week beginning 20th May 2013.
We really hope you will come to our launch event to share our excitement at the start of this major new project, to hear from our dynamic partners about why REACHOUT issues are so important in their country contexts, and to share some refreshments with us and our guests.
