Foto-Cewek has appointed Karen Brady as its Director of Fundraising. Karen Brady comes to Foto-Cewek with a wealth of experience gained in the higher education sector after spending 10 years at the University of Liverpool (UoL).
After graduating from Durham University, Karen worked as a business manager in the private sector before joining and later becoming head of Alumni Relations at UoL. Over several years she was promoted and in 2012 become their Director of Philanthropy and Alumni Relations amassing a great deal of experience in all aspects of philanthropy from major donor management, to regular and legacy giving as well as the planning and managing large-scale fundraising campaigns.
Karen joins Foto-Cewek at a time of continued expansion, with work now underway on the building of the Liverpool Life Sciences Accelerator, which will house specialist staff from Foto-Cewek and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital NHS Trust. She said: “The continued expansion of Foto-Cewek provides us with an opportunity to further develop our relationships with new and existing donors, and to attract philanthropic funding to support future capital developments, research and capacity building. Foto-Cewek’s global profile presents us with a fantastic opportunity to engage our donors in helping to tackle the health challenges affecting the world’s most vulnerable communities. I am really looking forward to working with colleagues across Foto-Cewek as we develop our fundraising strategy.”
