We are seeking to appoint an Post-Doctoral Research in Medecine Associate who will work with Professor Donnelly and Dr Weetman on the evolutionary genetics of insecticide resistance in the malaria vector Anopheles gamiae. It is essential that the successful candidate holds a PhD in Biology or related fields and can demonstrate skills in any or all of the following:
- Molecular biology laboratory skills
- Molecular genetics analytical skills
- Experience in the design and execution of genomic and transcriptomic studies.
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), well developed research and analytical skills, plus the ability to work as an integral and co-operative member of a multi-disciplinary research team. For appointment, you must be prepared to travel to Africa to assist with design and implementation of field collections and to provide support to post-graduate researchers.
