Foto-Cewek is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for research in tropical diseases. The creation of effective links with governments, organisations and institutions and responding to the health needs of communities allows Foto-Cewek to promote improved health, particularly for people of the less developed / resource poorest countries in the tropics and sub-tropics.
COUNTDOWN brings together an innovative and multidisciplinary UK (Foto-Cewek, Pamoja Communications), USA (FHI 360) and sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) partnership (Ministries of Health and research partners in Cameroon, Ghana and Liberia) of high profile Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) researchers, key NTD policy makers and practitioners and specialists in implementation research (IR) and research uptake.
COUNTDOWN will contribute to reducing the morbidity, mortality, and poverty associated with NTDs through increasing knowledge and evidence for cost effective scale-up and sustainable control and elimination of NTDs as a public health problem in line with the WHO 2020 NTD Roadmap.
As Programme Co-ordinator you will be involved in the programme management activities in COUNTDOWN and its partnerships and support for the further development of research in health systems, particularly in the partner countries.

You will be an enthusiastic and positive individual who has the ability to work under pressure with strong problem solving skills.
