IVCC has an exciting and varied position for an experienced Programme Manager
IVCC is a Product Development Partnership established to develop the next generation of vector control tools necessary for sustainable control and elimination of malaria. Founded in 2005 with support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, IVCC is now supported by the major donors in the field including USAID, UKAID, and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. Find out more about IVCC here:
Malaria eradication will require vector control tools that address both indoor and outdoor transmission, and IVCC is now taking a more proactive role in identifying high probability of success/short time to market/high impact technologies for the control of outdoor biting mosquitoes that transmit malaria and other NTDs.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercially-focussed Programme Manager who excels at project management and has a demonstrable track record of product development. The successful candidate will be the technical expert on new paradigms in vector control (entomology, biology, application technology and epidemiology), helping identify and implement the development of new products that are primarily focused on the control of outdoor biting mosquitoes.
The Programme Manager will manage the progress of projects, specifically related to outdoor transmission prevention through milestone reviews and guiding partners in development of process, metrics, best practices, approaches and identifying solutions.
It is essential that you have a Master’s degree or PhD in entomology or related life science, coupled with a project management related qualification, including relevant experience within the global public health environment. You will be managing the proposal process with the expert scientific advisory committees to solicit and analyse potential new tools for vector control to propose a constrained portfolio of options for validation. It is therefore important that you can demonstrate an acute understanding of global public health and the challenges it faces.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders with a keen interest in working at the interface of science, product development and innovation delivery in an international setting to deliver on the IVCC mission with transparency and integrity.
This is an exciting time to join the team so if you feel you have the necessary skills and qualifications, and an interest in joining a highly motivated team that cares about making a global impact, please apply here:
