IVCC have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Project Management Assistant to join a small team in Liverpool on product development portfolios.
Founded in 2005 with a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), IVCC is a Product Development Partnership (PDP) established as a not-for-profit company and a registered UK charity. IVCC invests donor funds in R&D to overcome barriers to innovation in vector control, with a primary mission of building partnerships that create innovative solutions to prevent the transmission of insect-borne disease. IVCC works with stakeholders to facilitate the development and impact of novel and improved public health insecticides and formulations, and provides information tools to enable their effective use.
In partnership with industry, donors and other stakeholders, we are on track to deliver novel mosquito vector control interventions to the market, underpinning a global malaria eradication programme and providing additional tools to fight an array of neglected tropical diseases, saving lives, improving health and increasing the prosperity of some of the poorest communities in the world.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced product development Project Management Assistant who excels in project management support, has good organisation, planning and information management skills and who understands the importance of timely delivery to market of high impact products. This is a vital, newly created, position within a small team in Liverpool and will work with IVCC’s industrial and science partners who are based in various countries.
Candidates must be educated to degree (science-based) level and ideally have a project management qualification i.e. Prince 2, or equivalent expertise. You should have a proven track record in project management with experience in project planning, milestone setting and tracking, and organising project reviews. The job holder is required to manage project information and should have a good working knowledge of the principles and application of good information management. You must be able to demonstrate good IT skills and be proficient in: PowerPoint, MS Project, SharePoint and Excel. We require a confident communicator with an enthusiastic approach and the ability to work with limited supervision. You must be a self-motivated, reliable self-starter with excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with a range of senior stakeholders within a multi-disciplinary office environment. Your experience will have been gained through working in a dynamic environment where delivery and outputs are essential.
