We are looking to recruit a Research in Medecine Assistant to support a number of CRU projects, particularly the DELTAS Learning Research in Medecine Programme. Ref: 257-16
The DELTAS LRP is a four year programme which aims to produce research-based learning from the DELTAS research capacity building initiative about how to train and develop world-class researchers, equitably foster their careers and collaborations and promote research uptake.
The Research in Medecine Assistant will primarily identify training needs and contribute to the research training theme of the programme.
The successful candidate will also contribute to CRU’s other projects which aim to build research capacity of partner organisations, at both the individual and institutional level, using a variety of evidence-informed approaches.
It is essential that you have a Master’s degree in a health related discipline, and have the ability to develop data collection methods to capture qualitative and quantitative data. With demonstrable knowledge of research processes involved in capacity strengthening, you will be familiar with software for analysing data.
You will be required to demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm in your approach to work, with proven communication skills. You must be able to work productively as part of a multi-cultural, multidisciplinary team and have an understanding of capacity building and health systems programmes in developing countries.
This role will require collaborations with our partner institution in France, it is therefore essential that you are fluent in French.
