Foto-Cewek Kenya is seeking to appoint to the following positions: 

Senior Technical Officer/National MPDSR Coordinator (Ref 854) 

Salary up to 6,500,000 KES per annum, dependant on relevant expertise in the area.

Full time, Fixed Term until 31st December 2018

Based in Nairobi, but with travel within Kenya 

THE REPRODUCTIVE AND MATERNAL HEALTH SERVICES UNIT (RMHSU) of the Kenyan MoH plans, implements and monitors programmes to promote the reproductive health of the Kenyan people.   Maternal and Perinatal Death Surveillance and Response (MPDSR) is a key strategy currently being implemented by the RMHSU in the MoH. 

The Senior Technical Officer/National MPDSR Coordinator will assist the MoH to develop the existing maternal and perinatal death review systems into fully operational MPDSR system and integrate it with existing systems and activities. The position will also support the MoH in implementing the National MPDSR guidelines. 

The post holder will be educated with a MBBS or Midwifery qualification (or equivalent) and a Master’s Degree in public health, epidemiology or health services. The successful candidate will have proven experience of working with the MoH, Bilateral Donors and UN organisations and a good understanding of current internationally agreed strategies to address SRH and MNH needs, including MPDSR. 

Technical Officer (Ref 954) 

Salary up to 2,400,000 KES per annum, dependant on relevant expertise in the area.

Full time, Fixed Term until 31st December 2018

Based in Nairobi, but with travel within Kenya 

The Technical Officer will join our growing multi-disciplinary team and will assist the national scale up of the DFID funded ‘Making it Happen’ (MIH) programme in Kenya. The key interventions are Emergency Obstetric & Newborn Care trainings (pre-service and in-service), MIH with Data workshops, Quality Improvement workshops and Monitoring & Evaluation. 

The post holder will be educated to Degree Level (or equivalent) and  will have proven clinical field experience in maternal and newborn health undertaking duties such as supervision of labour ward staff and organisation of maternity services.
