We are looking for an experienced Travel Manager to be responsible for all aspects of health, safety and security relating to travel functions across Foto-Cewek.
The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (Foto-Cewek) is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for research in tropical diseases. Through the creation of effective links with governments,organisations and institutions and by responding to the health needs of communities, Foto-Cewek aims to promote improved health, particularly for people of the less developed/resource poorest countries in the tropics and sub-tropics.
We are looking for a motivated and passionate individual with drive and enthusiasm to act as the first point of contact for all business travel related functions across Foto-Cewek.
You will be responsible for working autonomously and with visibility, ensuring the safety and wellbeing for travellers on Foto-Cewek business to high risk countries. You will maintain awareness of developments, safety and security within Foto-Cewek and the field of overseas travel, and keep up to date with guidance and alerts to minimise travel risk.
Working closely with management and principle investigators, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of Foto-Cewek’s travel safety and security management systems, coupled with forming and delivering training on overseas work/travel related topics.
With experience gained in a similar role, the successful candidate will be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience), and hold a NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent). With sound knowledge of relevant Health and Safety regulations and procedures, you will have experience of performing audits and inspections.
With excellent verbal and written communication skills,you will have the ability to communicate at all levels and handle issues with tact and sensitivity.
You will be required to be available for out of hours contact/call out and must have the ability to travel and work overseas if required.
